Hello, on Sunday it was Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.
I spent my Father’s Day with my children and we went to Tynemouth. It was a perfect day to go to the beach it was sunny and one of the hottest days of the year. Tynemouth is one of my favourite places to go. The beach is one of my favourites, I love the town, the priory and castle. It has the Blue Reef aquarium there which we have been too before but didn’t go this time, maybe next time. It’s a great place to visit especially on days like today and perfect for photographers. If you live in the north east give it a visit, you’ll love it.
Thanks for reading.
Here’s a quick YouTube video of the day too.
Hello happy Bank Holiday Monday, hope you’re all enjoying it even if the weather today isn’t so good.
We’ve had some good weather lately though and I’ve been out enjoying it and taking some photos of my favourite place Newcastle Quayside and also around Newcastle. I’ve said it before in previous posts that I love this city and lucky to have grown up here. The city is beautiful to look at, I love the Quayside, there’s lots to do and see and the people are friendly. It’s the home of Newcastle United of course who are back where we belong now in the premiership. Let’s not forget the nightlife it’s not voted the party city for nothing. It’s also been voted lately the best place for families to live.
The Quayside Seaside is back and I’ve managed to go and enjoy the sun there and also visited the Baltic Centre. The Baltic is a contemporary art centre and at the moment the Rodney Graham exhibition is on. He’s an Canadian artist and his exhibition combines works in film and video with an extensive presentation of his photographic images. The Baltic has some viewing platforms with amazing views of the River Tyne which is where I have taken these photos. One platform has a great view of all the nesting kittiwakes on the Baltic, so if you like bird watching it’s perfect for you. If you haven’t visited the Baltic yet the I recommend you do especially if you love art and photography.
I’ve put together a new YouTube video and uploaded it today check it out. I Love My City
Hello, Spring is here and I’m a little late but it’s gonna be May ha.
It’s that time of year when the weather starts getting a little better after winter and the April showers. The flowers start blooming and everything starts looking a little brighter. I like this time of year it’s the warm up for Summer, the weather gets warmer, it gets dark later and my birthday is in April and I always take a week of work to enjoy my birthday week. It’s a good time of year to start going out and about more. Going to the park and taking photos. Where I live we have two big parks, Leazes Park and Saltwell Park. There’s always a good chance of talking some good photos in those parks.
I just thought I would share some of my favourite photos I’ve taken of spring in those parks with you and a little video.
I’ve made a video of my spring photography. Check it out Spring Is Here
Hello, on Thursday I went to see WCPW LOADED at the O2 Academy in Newcastle.
It’s the first What Culture wrestling show I’ve been to and the card was pretty stacked full of big name wrestling stars. There was Matt Hardy, Bubba Ray, Alberto El Patron, Drew Galloway and Johnny Mundo. Alberto El Patron had a match against Johnny Mundo and it was the best match of the night. After the match he had a promo and it sounds like his next match will be against Kurt Angle. I can’t wait for that match it will be a classic and I will have to go if it happens in Newcastle. The main event had Matt Hardy in a tag team match against Bubba Ray and I won’t tell you who with or the result because it hasn’t aired yet (no spoilers here) but it was a good match. I’ve finally got to see those two wrestle in a match live so I was happy. I grew up watching the Hardys and The Duddleys wrestle in the WWE so that was great to see.
If you’ve never watched WCPW or been to a show I highly recommend it and you should definitely go see it live. You never know who will turn up.
Hello, Autumn is my favourite time of year. October my favourite month of the year. I love all the colours of the falling leaves, the weather isn’t that cold yet and I love Halloween.
For Halloween this year I went out on the Saturday night, but didn’t get dressed up as it was a bit of a late decision to go out. I was expecting to see a lot of girls dressed as Harley Quinn but only saw about six or seven and one of them was a man ha. It was a good night though and didn’t get home until the early hours of Saturday morning.
In the Autumn time I normally go out to Saltwell Park and take photos of the scenery, but I have only been a couple of times this Autumn. Some of the photos I’ve posted here are the results of a trip there today. I took a photo of some pumpkins outside of a local supermarket. They had huge boxes full of pumpkins I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many before. I also caught a few good photos of squirrels in the park. I got a good shot of one on a park bench which I liked and have used. Next year I’m going to venture out more and get some more photos, because last year I took a lot more.
Hello, on Wednesday me and my two children went to the Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth .
We have been before, but it’s been a while so decided to go and they love it. It’s open from 10 am to 6 pm, £10.50 for adults and £8.25 for children under 3’s get in for free.
It’s got a variety of fish, small reef sharks, stingrays and seals. Also lizards, turtles and monkeys. They do shows too, like the deal show and monkey feeding. My favourite are the sharks I’ve always loved sharks so alwayslike to see them. My son loved the Sharks too and the turtles. My daughter started shouting Nemo and Dorey when she saw the clownfish.
If you live in or around the area I would recommend paying it a visit. It’s a good little place to visit the kids will love it.
