If You Haven’t Got Anything Nice To Say, Don’t Say Anything

Hello, I’m back and I’ve got a few things to get of my chest in the next few blogs, so a couple of new, different blogs coming. I said in The Blog Where It All Begins to expect a pretty honest blog by me so here we go.

I have a full time job working at a shop and at times it’s like being back at school. People gossip and spread lies like wild fire at times. People get in relationships with people they work with and that’s not always the best idea considering if you break up you still have to work with that person. I myself have been in that situation so I know what I’m talking about. It’s like when we have our Christmas party the talk of the shop the next day is who hooked up with who, who argued or who had a fight. It always happens and not just at that time of year. It’s human nature to talk about people but sometimes it just gets a bit childish and blown out of per portion. I wonder at times if some people have nothing better to talk about. Everyone of us is adults and I just think everyone should be a little more mindful about what they say. Not everyone takes things the same way and people need to realise gossip and rumours can actually have a negative impact on someone.

I just like to keep myself to myself and only tell stuff to the people I trust which is only a few people to be honest. Like the saying goes “If you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything.”

The Blog About Resolutions 2017

Hello, I decided to make some resolutions this year, as I a rule I don’t normally make them because let’s be real who keeps them? Last year I made a few and I think I kept one or two. This year it’s pretty much the same and I’m going to keep to them because they are things I actually want to do.

The first one is to read more. There is a lot of of books on my to read list and it’s time to start ticking them off. I have a habit of starting to read a book putting it down and never getting back to it. I have about five books I’m in the middle of reading now and I’m determined to finish them. I’ve just joined Goodreads and set myself a reading challenge which will help me in this. My Goodreads profile if you wish to follow my progress.

Another resolution was to cook more. I never really cook much with working full time and being busy but I’ve decided when I have the time I need to learn to cook more things instead of just putting something in the oven out of the freezer. This month I have been cooking more than normal and I’m going to continue with this and learn to cook new things. It’s always good to learn new things and it helps impress the ladies.

Other resolutions I want to keep are to keep up with my photography, keep fit and travel more. I’m also going to blog more because I haven’t blogged much lately. This year is the year when I will stick to my resolutions.

Thanks for reading.

Rest In Purple

Hello, earlier today I got home from work and had a scroll through Instagram. I started scrolling and got to Travis Barkers post. It was a photo of Prince and when I read the caption I couldn’t believe it. Prince had passed away. I was genuinely shocked and couldn’t believe it, it was so out of the blue. This year has been a bad year for celebrity deaths. We’ve already lost, Alan Rickman, Lemmy and David Bowie.

Ever since I first heard Prince’s music as a kid growing up in the 80’s I loved it and instantly became a fan. Purple Rain is one of my all time favourite songs. He’s made so many other great songs like When Doves Cry, Rasberry Berret, Little Red Corvette, Kiss, 1999 and all the songs from the Batman 1989 soundtrack which I love. His contribution and influence in music is massive and you can still see that influence now.

It’s been a sad day for fans and the whole of music. Rest in purple Prince you will be missed, but the music lives on.

Thanks for reading.

The Blog About Photography

Hello, I love photography it’s a hobby of mine but I’m looking into taking it more serious now. I want to take a course and I’m going to look into my options. I’m also thinking about making prints, canvases etc of my photos to sell. As I’ve had some interest from friends about my photos of Newcastle and it could be a good way to get my work out there.

As for now I’m just going to continue taking photos of different places and things I like.

Thanks for reading.

Any one who knows me knows me knows I’m a fan of James Dean so I’m currently reading books about him and I’m about half way through The Mutant King. It’s a good read and if you’re a fan then I definitely recommend it. I’ll be posting the James Dean books I read and things I like over on my Instagram so have a look. http://instagram.com/davidjoman/

The Blog Where It All Begins

Hello, well like the title says this is where it all begins…  Life As I See It blog #1

Good morning, It was the best of times. If only someone had told me. Mistakes were made, hearts were broken, lessons learned. My family goes on without me, while I just coast along going day to day from girl to girl. A morning of awkwardness is better than a night of loneliness. There are things I need to figure out, like what I want to do with my life. The clock is ticking. I have some ideas and now it’s time for some changes.

Allow me to introduce myself: My name is David, I’m from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. I’m a bearded, tattooed, Geordie, funny at times, a father and consider myself a gentleman. I love photography, writing, music and movies. I’ve decided to do start this blog to showcase my photography and it’ll also be a lifestyle blog too. I’ll just go with the flow to start with and blog about what I think and feel about certain things. I’m not shy so I won’t hold back on certain things, so expect a pretty honest blog. Feel free to like, follow and comment too.

Thanks for reading.
